This brings back memories of my high school graduation, as well as my college graduation several years after that. I remember with my high school graduation especially, there was such a mixture of different emotions. I was happy to be finished, but I also had a lot of anxiety and uncertainty about my future. The most common and pressing question, both from myself and from other people, was what did I want to do next? Did I want to go to post-secondary right away? What did I want for a career? And they were difficult questions to answer because, quite simply, I didn’t yet know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Even to this day, there’s still many things I’m trying to figure out. But in a way, that’s what makes it exciting, because there’s still so many unknown things that are yet to be discovered. Life is a long journey, full of self-reflection and a lot of trial and error.
